I have been building a blog full of Flash Arcade Games for the enjoyment of my friends and contacts.

But I have been having difficulty inserting Flash games using Java. I gett a white blank screen where the game should be.

The games that do work on my blog are using Adobe (I think) and consider it dumb luck that I am able to put them up, since I have no formal training in computer programing or web designing.

I was able to put the Adobe "flash games" on by copying the "source" codes from their website, and then cutting and pasting it on to my blog.

I try the same thing with the Java "flash games" but it doesn't work.

  1. Flash and Java are two different types of code. You can not put objects (games or otherwise) that are of Java or Javascript code in your 360 blog. You are either posting a game created through Flash or you are posting a game created through Java.

You will have to look on sites that host embeddable online games but also provide an embedding code that is Flash based. See my blog roll section on games (http://blog.360.yahoo.com/kee_y360 ) for a few sites. To see an example of one posted in a blog entry, see http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6f...

Once you find flash game then you can TRY to display the game on your blog via these instructions:

    - Select the EMBED code you want to copy, then right-click to select "Copy."

    - Compose a new blog entry

    - Check the "View HTML Source" box that's on the upper right corner of your entry's toolbar, position your cursor and right-click to choose "Paste."

    - Uncheck the box to get back to the regular blog screen. You may not see the object (i.e. game) until you save the entry.

    - WARNING: Do not save your entry with out adding some text.

Now, it's entirely possible that even with doing the above, the object/widget will not work. Simply, not all codes - even some flash EMBED ones - will not work in 360. Typically, ones that work begin with <embed object=" ">. Yet not all online games have "sharing" (or "embedding") options. If they do have embedding options, they will not always offer a flash version of the code.
