  1. iPod can only support mpeg4 video. You will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you to convert dvds and video into mp4 or h264 format, add them into itunes library, then sync to ipod, take a look at this side by side comparison of top selling dvd to ipod converters(windows/mac) for help http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/dvd... to get the right converter for you.

  2. Ipod only support mp4 format, there're many tools supporting dvd/video to ipod converter, you can have a look of below review site, which introduces different dvd/video to ipod tools, also provides the free trials. hope it useful.

  3. You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video for iPod. I like the DVD to iPod Converter Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. Also, the output quality is great. You can download this software free from here

  5. first, you need a third party software to rip ur DVDs to MP4 videos.

second, you have to download the apple's official software iTunes to sync your iPod.you can download it at the following site:

    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

in the end, plug in your iPod to computer and open iTunes ,the iTunes will detect your iPod ,you can add your videos to iTunes by select 'Add to Library' from the File menu or drag and drop the videos from your computer. Then, you can click 'Apply' to synchronize your iPod or you can choose the videos you want to add from the iTunes's video menu and drag and drop to the video menu of iPod.

ps:i don't suggest you to synchronize ur new videos as all of your preexist iPod videos will be covered.

    good luck!

  6. Seeing as you can't insert a DVD into your iPod, you can't. It must be imported into iTunes for the iPod video section to find it.

I guess it's actually possible not to, but you'll need to do so much work you would have time to import it into iTunes and watch it from start to finish six times before it even started to work.
