I want to take videos that are on my computer and put them on to a DVD compatable disc so that I can put the disc in to my DVD player and watch the videos on my TV.

How do I do that?

What Program(s) would I use to do this?

What type of disc should I use?

Also the type of DVD player I have is a Samsung DVD-V2000 DVD/VCR combo.

  1. Cucusoft Video to DVD Creator is a good choice. It converts popular video formats such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, DivX, DV, VOB to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable or home DVD player. Any video to to VCD/DVD/SVCD is even faster than real-time.

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of the DVD creator give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product:

Also, you can search some other software:

  2. If you use Windows, you can make a DVD using Windows DVD Maker, that is already installed on your computer. If you want a better program, use Nero. You can use DVD-R or DVD+R if you don't want to erase it later on and DVD-RW or DVD+RW if you want to erase it later. I think DVD-R is better for DVD players.

If you need help on how to use Windows Movie Maker, e-mail me.

You don't need to convert the files if they are AVI, but if for some reason you need a video converter, WM converter is good and free:
