I am REALLY interested in starting a African American National Historic Site... How can I get started and if u have any tips please email me and let me know...I need advice on as far as how to get started

I am a bit unclear as to your intention. Do you want to create a website or a physical, brick and mortar historic site?

In either case, you will want to do your research. But if your intent is to build an actual visitor's site, then you will need to secure funding. That in and of itself could prove to be a major undertaking.

Well do you know how to make a website?

if so then you must find  a site on godaddy.com or www.www.com

and chose a name and see if the website is a vailable.

and then chose a payment plan..

Hi,

I have a lot of experience marketing small companies online (I have 3 companies).  One of the best ways is to sign up at business directories and protals.  These are basically listings of businesses (simliar to the phone book).  The advantage is that these portals usually get a lot of traffic and they're ranked high on Google because of all the quality links they contain.

My favorite portal is called Directory Exclusive.  I signed up a few weeks ago because they're giving a away a free business card holder when a person enter's their company info.  I received it in the mail 3 days ago =)

Hello,

1. You need to get a domain name for your website. Chances are any host can do this for you.

2. You will need to find some hosting for your website and you will have to look into if you are going to need a shopping cart (if you plan to sale anything)

3. You can try some of these hosting places

Godaddy http://www.godaddy.com

Tahoe Web Service http://www.tahoewebservice.com

Yahoo http://www.yahoo.com

Some of these hosts will offer certain things. The best bang for the buck would be Tahoe Web as they offer a shopping cart that you do not have to pay extra for and you can build 1000 pages. Yahoo and Godaddy will charge extra for these things.
