I own a small direct marketing company that caters to the Fortune 500. Although we are "small" as measured by employee size, we do $1-2MM in annual revenues and the sky's the limit. Ultimately, I would like to scale the company and sell it to a large Madison Ave. type agency or direct marketing firm. My strengths are in sales, marketing (of course), and I am good with numbers and finance in general. My weak spot is management. I tend to 1) hire the wrong type of peple and, 2) micromanage them. HELP! I know that in order to grow the way I envision, I will have to successfully learn to manage people in-house. What do you recommend?
