How can I "Uninstall" Linux (Ubuntu)?

I have Linux in dual boot with Vista, but I want to remove it to install it inside of Vista with a virtual hard drive.

Do i simply erase the partition?

  1. Yes. You simply erase the partition. BUT!....... you will have to reinstall your Vista boot loader. You can reinstall the boot loader from the Vista DVD. Just pop it in and you will see the menu choices.

    A very easy way to have Ubuntu installed in Vista is through the WUBI installer. It will install Ubuntu in your Vista partition just as any other Windows application. It will show up in your All Programs in Control Panel. You will also be able to uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs.


  2. If you want to install Linux and run it in Vista you will need to run a virtual machine.
