Question:

How can I "cut out" a "piece" of a song and make it its own file so I can put it on my phone?

I don't know what this is even called, though I imagine it has a technical term. Sorry for the poor verbiage.

Basically, what I want to do, is take a few lines that are in the middle of a song and turn them into their own file on my pc so that I can then transfer that file to my phone to use as a ring tone. I want a very specific part of the song, and it isn't available from ring tone site.

I was wondering if anyone could either tell me a step by step way to do this. OR direct me to an online tutorial that I could learn from. I know how to put whole songs on my phone, but I have no clue how to cut a song up on my pc.

Thanks.
