Question:

How can I "toughen up" my drum set?

I like to hit my drums hard... very hard. I am afraid I will break the heads though. Is there any way I can make my drums extra heavy duty and durable? (If this is at the expense of sound quality, that's fine.)

Thanks!

  1. Im tough and fat so if u hit me there might be a loud sound  lol

  2. if you have good heads on the drums they shouldn't break easily at all.

  3. wrong section. But, my answer to that is not really. They're going to break someday.

On a side note, I've seen bass drum holes patched up with duct tape before. There wasn't much reduction in sound quality.

When they break, you can buy new heads, they're not expensive (unless you have a timpani or bass). Those heads are more durable than you think too, unless you've been using claw hammers and flails to play.

  4. Harder harder harder

  5. lol just hit away.. they won't break. How do you think screamo bands cope.?? Er... but your sticks might lol

  6. do some research and get better quality heads maybe soem that are designed for durably metal.

  7. printer related how?
