I have a cellphone, and my mom and I are on the same plan. As you know, it costs money to have a phone. My mom says I need to do my share and help pay. I have to have 40 dollars-quick. I have already taken 30 dollars out of my shopping money-uuugghhh. So now I need 10 dollars very soon. I have till Saturday. 3 days. What are some simple yet effective ways to raise money at home or in the neighbohood? Thanks!

  1. sale five thingz for 2$ each at school or hood.

  2. Go next door and offer to mow lawn/walk dog for 10dollars.

Sell some video games at gamestop (you'll need youre mom's id...)

If you drink plastic bottles, go to a recycling center and sell them.

A lot of people are saying sell things (typical) but you need to be 18 to sell things almost anywhere including Gamestop, Half Price Books, Plato's Closet, etc.

You would need a parent to get cash!

You could sell on craigslist! Sell a good item cheap! I'm not sure if someone would reply within three days. I just made $15 via craigslist selling this old thing I had and didn't get reply for a week!

  3. Not sure what your age is, but you sound like a younger women that likes to shop since you used your shopping dollars. If you have name brand clothing or accessories take the ones that are sitting in your closet to one of the second hand stores that only sell them. If you do not have one there then maybe set up an ebay account and take pictures and sell them on there. You may be suprised what people will pay for your closet full of useless cloths that you will never wear again. LOL

  4. Look through your CD, DVD, and book collection and see if there's anything you just don't want anymore.  Take them to your local Half-Price Books, GameStop or CD Exchange (only bookstores take books of course).

I did this and actually got $5 for what I thought was the smallest most-useless book in my house.

  5. offer to babysit, mow lawns.

  6. babysitting

ask for raise in allowance :)

    bake sale

    garage sale

    lemonade stand

  7. recycle cans and bottles.

  8. Babysit, wash cars, walk dogs, mow lawns, carry people grocery bags to their cars

  9. Look for loose change in the couch, borrow from a friend, recycle plastic bottles/cans. Is your mom going to have you pay your share each month? You might want to consider getting a steady income.

  10. You need to look for loose change. I bet you can come up with 10 dollars.

She may hate receiving change, but give it to her with a smirk!

    Good luck

  11. ask 10 people to give you a dollar. too much? ask 20 people to give you 50 cents. still too much? ask 40 people to give you a quarter.

  12. baby sit.

    mow lawns.

put bottles and cans into recycling machines.

    walk dogs.

    water gardens.

lemonade stands (a little young but its worth it)

    sweeep drive ways/ side walks.

    water lawns and gardens.

    i really hope this helps!

  13. Well...

You could babysit if you like kids.

Help older people with yardwork or grocery shopping for extra cash.

depending on where you live, you could do detassling or deroguing...any kind of farm work. they tend to pay well. My first job besides babysitting was detassling.

You could see if a local sports team needs a coach or referees or anythhing like that. Also, see what kinds of programs the park district has going on & if they need any helpers.

Have a bake sale, a garage sale...anything like that.

    Or...sell stuff on ebay.

You could watch peoples' pets while they're on vacation. Good time for that--SUMMER!

    good luck :)
