How can I raise money to spend a year in France?

I want to go to France next year for a sort of an exchange program, but I need to raise $10,000 in the next year.

It's very ambitious, I know, but I determined to meet my goal. Any ideas?

  1. Whew!  That is a big task.  But I applaud your ambition.

First thing to do is to start making small changes in your lifestyle to reduce how much you are spending.  Stop going out to restaurants and fast food joints.  Buy fresh vegetables at a farmer's market.  Cook in as much as possible.  Buy generic brands of prepared foods and other products.

Getting a job will be a big help too.  Save every penny!

Your best bet might be to look for a scholarship or grant to help you with your trip.  Check with your school for more info.  The French government is notorious for giving out grants and subsidies.  I'm sure you can find something that will be a big help.

    Good luck!

  2. Get a job.
