Question:

How can I raise my ACT score?

Here are my results from the test I took about a month ago:

Composite score: 29

English: 30

Math: 28

Reading: 29

Science: 27

Optional writing portion: 9/12

So I guess I mostly want help with the math and science sections. Any suggestions?

  1. Get a lot of prep. books for the ACT. Also, get the prep. book made by the actual testmakers called "The Real ACT" and take all the practice exams under timed conditions, and see what you need to improve on. I heard that Princeton Review was good for the science and math, but I never actually used it. Go to amazon.com and type in "ACT" and look at the reviews people gave the books and pick one of your choosing. Your score is very good, so you can hit the 30s if you take it again with some studying. Good luck.

  2. study study study. Or can you even take it over again?

  3. I recommend doing practice exams that way you get familiar with the topics and then study the topics that you don't really remember. Good Luck!!!

By the way, I think your score is really good. If I got that score, I wouldn't take it again. It's above average.

  4. Make your Basic Concepts VERY VERY CLEAR

  5. Get a ACT Prep book and study it, or join a ACT prep course. ACT prep books are really good, for example the princeton review and kaplan are the best out there giving you many practice tests, tips and tricks on how to anwser ACT type questions and more. But those are really good scores and my guess is if you take it again your going to increase your scores further.

=] Good Luck, and hope this helped.

  6. study more.

and those are still really good scores.
