  1. Be yourself, don't be fake and try to be something you're not. Get involved in clubs and you'll make tons of friends.

  2. Why would you do that. I was a football player in high school that started every game and everyone knew me. I was one of the star players. However, I didnt go to one party my whole high school life. I could not stand how fake and plastic all the "Popular" people were. They all did the same thing to be accepted, drink, play beer pong, and hook up with random people. While I was actually going into the city and going to events and movies and what not. I also spent time with my family a lot.

I also had many cheerleaders that liked me, but I didnt date one of them.

Its all about being yourself and having your own personality. You dont need to become "popular". Its superficial and doesnt help you in the long run.

  3. Just be yourself.  I know it sounds really corny, but it's true.  If you want to be a cheerleader because you really want to cheer, then do it, but if you just want to be one because they're "popular" then don't.  It's not worth it.  Why try to be someone that you're not.. If you want to make a big impression because you're tired of fitting in all the time then build up your confidence.  Get a new haircut or some new clothes, and just be nice to everyone.  People will notice.

  4. No one likes someone who tries too hard, or who changes themselves just to fit in. Believe me. They'll know you did it.

If you want to try cheer leading because you actually want to cheer lead, then go for it. Otherwise, why be something you're not? Oh, and you can be BOTH a cheer leader and a smart girl. I wouldn't become an idiot just to be popular. Remember, there is life after high school...and you wont have much of one if you have a crappy GPA. A lot of the pretty, popular people end up in crappy jobs. Do you want that to be you?

Take care of yourself. Eat right, bathe every day, wash your face (but don't over wash), use moisturizer, use a little perfume or scented lotion, wear clothes that flatter you, and be friendly to everyone. If you can do that, you'll make friends that you'll actually enjoy having. Why bother trying to attract friends just because of their status? You're supposed to have FUN with your friends, not use them as a status symbol.

Also, I hate to break it to you, but...How rich is your family? Theoretically, you can be the most beautiful girl in the school, but if your family isn't from the 'rich' neighborhood, your chances of popularity are very slim.

  5. Seriously. Being "popular" is so overrated. It MAY seem great at first. but people get tired of it pretty quick. it's all fake, and if you're smart, you'll want to stay out of it. you'll just find yourself dealing with a lot if drama.

but if you want to make a good impression, be yourself. wear the clothes YOU like. and add accessories and stuff. little things go a long way.

most important thing though. carry yourself with confidence. if anything that's going to attract people. (but don't be snotty about it)

  6. lool do u know what u just said...how to change from smart girl to cheerleader!! meaning cheerleaders cant be smart and smart girls cant be cheerleaders..they have to CHANGE.

soooo u want to be a typical high school stereotype...be a cheerleader to be more "like" popular and "like" go to all the "like" sweet parties and "like" date the captain of the football team!!!!! "like" OH MY GOD!!!

    wow.....being a cheerleader doesnt mean u will be liked...maybe popular among the snobs...but in real life after u graduate..nobody gives a d**n if u were a cheerleader!

    be YOURSELF!!!

  7. Well, you start taking a cheer class and then you try out for the squad.

    easy.

and you don't want to be a cheerleader unless you love cheering... because being a cheerleader is a HUGE commitment.

but if you really want to reinvent yourself, you just need to drastically change your clothes, make-up, hair, and personality.

but you really shouldn't be trying to be something you're not.

    :P
