  1. ask your coach what he thinks you need to work on most and keep lifting!

    good luck!

  2. i'd like to first say you have quite an impressive resume. anyway. for catching im not sure i can help you there im not really sure. endurance; i'd just run a mile or two per day to start out and go from there. vertical; wall sits are excellent for building calf strength which leads to a better vertical. and power? nothing works better than weight lifting.

  3. im thinking the same thing u are

  4. If you can afford it - get with a speed coach.  Beebe runs one that a family friend worked with for two years in high school and it made the difference for him getting a Division I scholarship. Excellent group.

Five critical elements you can always improve on:

    1.  Sharp cuts on your patterns.  Most wideouts aren't nearly as exacting as they think they are. The easiest target in the game is the receiver who runs his patterns well.  This could easily be all five points here.

    2.  Getting separation from your defender.  This is a lot more about intelligence than raw speed - positioning your hands, your body, to simultaneously maximize your situation and minimize the defender's in going after the pass.

    3.  Start speed (exploding off your mark) and exploding away from your defender.

    4. Look the ball into your hands - never allowing it to make contact with your body/pads, and make sure you catch it first, and run with it second.  Laser focus.

    5.  Once you've caught the football and put it away (your primary responsibility) learn to blast your defender with a powerful forearm when needed, at the point on their body that will most neutralize them -sometimes the helmet, sometimes the shoulder - while squeezing that football so it stays where it belongs - in your arms as you cross the goal line.  And when you're required to block, be the best blocker on the team and devastate your opponent with your technique and your hit. One of the most consistent contributors to a big play offense is the wideout that can take his defender out of the play when asked to do so - whether this means running interference, executing an outstanding fake, or putting him on the ground when the play requires it.  Nobody respects a wideout that thinks their only job is to pull in passes when they're the hot receiver.  Be an all around talent.

    Tear 'em up!
