Question:

How can I recognize when I am dreaming?

I want to be able to control my dreams (I think it's called lucid dreaming when you do that). I've had them before and they were fun because I could fly or go whereverI wanted, instead of just feeling like I was in a movie, that just did what it wanted. I heard that if you practice looking at digital clocks in real life, you might do that in a dream too, and if it changes, you'd know you were dreaming. I practiced that last night, and nothing happened (which makes since, because I just started practicing that). What are some other things I can do to have a lucid dream and to recognize when I am actually dreaming?

Thanks =]

  1. I had a professor in college to say that if you ask yourself several times throughout the day while you are awake, "Am I dreaming?"  Eventually you'll do this while you are dreaming and recognize it.  I never did this, so can't say it works or not.  When I was pregnant I had lucid dreams every night.

  2. That is hard to say.

      You prolly need to "practice" more before you see any changes though., right away at least.

    I had read before that all we have to do to "Lucid" dream, is think the night before that you want to control your dream and make things happen in them but it didn't work for me!

      I didn't practice, though.            Don't know enough about this sort of thing anyway but there are alot of things I'd like to have happen in my dreams, you know, dream what I want!

      ha, ha!    That would be nice, though!

    Keep practicing, anyway!
