I can record TV with my older mini-dv tape camera via RCA or other inputs but how do i do this on my Sony HDR-SR1 30gb hard disk camcorder? On the older camera i just switch it to "VTR" mode which is where i go to view the footage and then just hit the record button. but my hard disk camera doesn't have a VTR mode as everything is done via a touchscreen. How can i get the camera set up so that it can record TV or from a VHS player or other inputs? Thanks for any help!

  1. As they said above , you don't have an input!! Here is the link to the Sony support  site for more info..........

  2. This camcorder does not do "AV-in" like your other camcorder did.

  3. The spec sheet doesn't say anything about input connections. My guess is you can't record from an alternate source.
