  1. Hi there. Not sure if this is exactly what you need, but it may be helpful. Instead of recording what's coming out of your speakers, you can instead record what is being sent to them.

Freecorder is a browser plug-in that does that. You install it, and you can capture whatever is being sent to your speakers as an MP3 file. You can capture streaming audio, audio from movies, etc.

It won't capture sounds outside of your computer, though...so if you want to save a voice chat session, for example, it won't get your side of the conversation.

I use this quite a bit, as it's very handy and works like a charm. Hope this is helpful.

  2. yeah, the dude above me is right, you can record them using some online softwares.. I use Kat MP3 recorder... It allows you to download in multiple file formats and you can choose a bit rate from 16 to 320.  It's also pretty easy to use.

  3. No.

The electrical characteristics of loudspeakers are completley incompatible with safe direct connection to a recorder's input socket. It doesn't matter whether the recorder is a computer or a tape recorder or MP3 or anything else that is in common domestic use.

You should never try and record directly from any loudspeaker except by using a separate microphone. If you plug a wire intended to connect to a loudspeaker into a microphone socket then you will damage the recording device's input electronics.

If you connect it to the recorder's "Line Input" then, providing the volume is very low, you may record something but it may not sound very good.

What you can do is to connect your laptop's headphone socket to the recoder's "Line Input". That is unlikely to damage anything and you may get a reasonably good quality  recording.   In this respect you are fortunate in that most headphone sockets are mini-jacks and so are most Line-In sockets. Get a lead with the right plugs at each end and go for it.

  4. You can get software on the internet which acts like a virtual soundcard and records any sound that your PC makes. People used to use it to rip internet radio stations as they listened to them.

Sorry but I can't remember the name.

  5. You can buy a cable with a jack at each end, and plug one end into the headphone socket, and the other into the microphone socket, then you can just use sound recorder.

  6. you cant but you can record from your computer bay using a cord from your headphone port to the microphone port.

  7. if  you can find program that will install, like creative sound Blaster. I love this program. I have the sound card and cd. but I dont have a laptop, this may may not work for you. anyway, if you can find a program that RECORDS sounds, music etc. install it, open it, put it to desk top, look for line in, or what you hear.in program files.paly a song sound etc, hit record, and look for it in your recording program, it will be  a WAV file im assuming. see if it worked. I record music from the net all the time. i then convert it to mp3 and make a cd from what Ive recorded. send me an email if you r lost.

  8. You can use the program Audacity to record any sound on your computer. You can get the download from here http://rapidshare.com/files/121975446/au... and it records any sounds you want it to. I wouldn't recommend using the webcam mic though as webcam mic's are well known for picking up all background noises as well. Instead, you can unplug the webcam, change your computer's Recording settings and you can record any sounds from inside the computer. It work's loads better and the sound is crystal clear too with no background noises. You don't even have to have a mic plugged in as it is all done through the sound card, this is why you have to unplug the webcam to do this as the webcam mic overrides the sound card because of the USB port being used. If you would like some help as far as getting your sound card set up to be able to do this, please feel free to send me an email or message and I will be more than happy to help you. Just make sure you include whether or not you are using Windows XP or Vista please so I know what operating system setup to go with.
