How can I recover my hard drive files ?

I had to remove my hard drive from my laptop as my laptop crashed and stopped working, how can I get my files in my hard drive ? Do pc world have a hard drive reader to transfer my files to a disc ?

Well if you wiped your hard drive. Theres no way besides trying your luck at a specific program(And that might not even work). And I doubt geek squad can help you get your programs back without you saving them on a dvd or cd.

u can put it in desktop by a special cable called 2.5 to 3.5 adapter converter then u can put documents in desktop

What part of your laptop stopped working? If it is the harddrive itself that crashed, you may very well be out of luck, as the data could have been physically corrupted. If the harddrive is fine, i'd agree with the suggestion to get an drive enclosure to use the drive as an external.

Don't ever go to geeksquad. They're no more trained than the majority of the people on this forum, and they charge you an arm and a leg (and steal your data).

Software won't help you at all.

^ Just an example of one (they are really cheap).

It's basically a little hard-drive enclosure (make sure you get 2.5 inch, because that's the size of laptop ones) and keep it the way it is for storage/backup, or if you need to use it, plug it via USB into another computer, or laptop.

Edit: What I have described is the USB box that 'stanleys_2000' said. ;) listen to him, he knows his stuff.
