How can I recreate HP Brown Sauce?

My husband is addicted and we've almost finished our hoarded stash. It's impossible to find in stores in Brazil. Please, for the love of all that is holy, tell me how to make brown sauce like HP.

    1      teaspoon      grated onion

    3      tablespoons   butter or margarine

    3      tablespoons   flour

    1      cup           cream

    1      teaspoon      beef extract

                         salt and pepper



Brown onion slightly in butter.  Stir in flour.  Pour in cream gradually, stirr

ing constantly, cook until slightly thickened.

Season with beef extract, salt and pepper and cook about 2 minutes longer.

I am looking at my HP sauce bottle.

I would suggest making a brew of malt vinegar, tomatoes Worcestershire sauce, onions, molasses and brown sugar, and tamarind extract

You would also need thickener.

Good luck, I can't live without my HP either.
