How can I recycle this?

I have a pair of jeans which, though relatively new, has so many holes that they are no longer fit to wear. Patches won't help.

So what can I do with these jeans? I can't make them into cutoffs because the holes are in that half.

  1. If you are into sewing or know soeone who is, cut the jeans up into 4 inch squares (or whatever size you like) then you can sew them back together to make a blanket. Just an idea!

  2. Eat it :] ♥

  3. use the fabic for something.

examples:  cool napkins, mop, bandana, etc.

  4. put them on e-bay or use them for a scarecrow

  5. If u were a girl, i'd probably say make it into a purse or bag or something, but since u rn't... cut it apart at the seams and then make them into patches or an ipod cover or something cover.

  6. Here are a couple of ideas for your jeans.  Go ahead and make them into cutoffs, but always wear them over a  pair of cool boxers with a pattern worth showing off, so you basically have a liner under the holes.  You could start a (w)hole new look!  If you cut off the legs and keep them in their tube-like state, you could make them into yoga mat cases, or any kind of case for something cylindrical-- posters, tripod, etc.  You could split one seam open and then have enough fabric for something else.  I beat you could fashion a vest from them, or make pillows ( you could also make a pillow from the tops of your jeans-- again, you'd probably have to line them, maybe with a bandanna.) or a couple of place mats.  Use the fabric to recover a chair seat or a footstool.  Also, it the material is 100% cotton, it's recyclable in a compost pile.  I'll think about this some more; I bet I can come up with some other stuff to do with your jeans, but maybe these ideas are enough to get your creativity flowing!  Good Luck with your project!
