  1. Use Lidl, or Aldi shops.

  2. plan what meals you are having on certain days, don't buy unneccesary items like biscuits and yogurts and stuff. When i was unemployed my grocery bill was less than £100.00 a month for 3 adults and that was with a cooked meal a day.It can be done.

  3. Work out which of the stuff you buy gets wasted, and dont get anymore. Have smaller meals. Dont waste money on sweets and crisps, biscuits, etc. spend less on sauces (ketcup, mayonnaise, etc) It's not easy, but if money is tight you have to make sacrifices.

  4. shop daily for exactly what you need, no more, no less

  5. We stop buying so many snacks, such as crisps and chocolate. That way you eat at meal times which saves a fortune

Also try some of the shops own brand cleaning products, some of them do just as good as the branded version but for half the price

  6. Don't buy as much - duh!

  7. Moving to another country would do it.

  8. Dont shop when you are hungry, do your shopping when youre well fed. Psychologically you buy the things that you would like to eat now (while youre hungry) If you shop when youve eaten, you will be more inclined to stick to your list and think logically.

  9. There are four brand levels for foods, premium, mainstream, supermarket own brand and no frills. By buying everything one brand lower you will cut your bill by around a third.
