I'm not able to get any ice on the affected area, are there any other options available?

And for those that must know, I tapped early, as I've had a previous injury, but it's still flared up this morning.

  1. heat alot. if it hurts bad enough no heavy lifting or straining of the muscle for one week. if it prosists see a doc cause u may have torn it. the amount and type of pain is real important to. if its a pulling sensation then the tendons are tight becasue u strained them if its a sharp stab it may be a tare.

    hope i helped out

  2. Ice. Or a bag of peas. Whichever. Oh, and a c**p load of advil/ibuprofen/aleve. Don't use aspirin/tylenol, not as good for pain and swelling. Also put a little icy hot on it.

  3. ibuprofen, fish oil gel caps, plenty of milk, heat pad then very cold water then heat pad then very cold water.  Stretch your arms a lot ( Judo stretching if you know any ).  Other than that it takes time to heal and rehabilitate.  Don't go around lifting anything heavier than 20lbs. with that arm as well.  Eat good meals maybe get some veggie soup and other veggie products as well as apples, oranges and other good nutrient rich foods for your body.

Hate to hear that about anyone's ratator cuff ( shoulder ) or radial head ( elbow ) I've had a few myself and I know they're crippling and long term to deal with - Good luck and get plenty of rest too.
