I'm 18, and I had a HORRIBLE breakout (worse than ever before) for about 2 months where almost my entire face was covered in pimples, and I just wanted to die during that time.

Well, the acne is pretty much gone, but I have dermatillomania (a skin picking disorder related to anxiety/ocd) so now there are scars from picking. How can I reduce the appearance of these red marks? My skin doesn't look any better than when it had acne all because of the marks. :(

  1. I didnt know there was such a thing as dermatillomania....i think i have it too.  What works best for me is.....stop picking....only go pick a zit when you start to feel pressure. Stop giving yourself the opportunity to pick...like if you have a magnifing mirror, get rid of it that only makes you wanna pick more! i used to lean on the counter and pick in front of a mirror.

The red marks should go away within a few days of not picking. I dont think they are scars they are prolly just irritation from your nails. I suggest you wear oven mits like if you had chicken pox.

Also bacteria from your nails could be causing more pimples to form!

Its a deadly cycle! Get out of it while you still can!

    good luck

  2. I would recommend for you to use Zenmed's Scar Treatment Kit for getting rid of acne scars. In three days time you would see them becoming lighter and in a week to ten days time they won't be visible anymore while using the scar treatment kit. I have used it when I had scars left from severe acne some months ago.

Not only does it help get rid of acne scars but also dark spots, aging lines and sun spots quickly. I also to a liking to it when I used it for getting rid of my daughters chicken pox scar marks too, which we know are very hard to get rid off. It did work for those scar marks as well. I consider it to be the perfect product for treating scars. So, I would recommend this stuff for you. It's completely herbal and so without any worries can be used on any type of skin.
