How can I reimburse the towing cost of a rented car?

Question

I have rented a car and it had a problem while we were on the highway 401 (ontario) . The guy who towed our car told us that as it is a new care we can get reimbursed of the towing cost from the OPP.

Well, the rental agency does not want to do it for us.

Have anyone done this before? I could not find online any document that lists this policy.

Seems to me the rental car is reponsible here.  but....Have you thought about using your own auto insurance ?   Sometimes coverage from your car will extend to the rental car.
