I will have THE QUALIFICATION EXAM tomorrow and that exam will put me in one of the high schools, I am 14 going on 15 and I am the best pupil in my school, it's just that I'm scared right now because you can't retake this exam... I was never so scared and unfocused, what can I do to make myself concentrated and relaxed ?

P.S. I've gone through those books 3 times and tomorrow 20 tasks of 450 ,that we have, will be in that test... And on Thursday 17 - 20 tasks of 350 from mathematics...

  1. listen to some soft music while studying and don't over do it.just try to think of fun things you have done in your life when the pressure gets to much.

  2. look, just try your best to unwind and release the stress from your mind. You can try breathing exercises. Relax your shoulders and eyes, breathe in 3 times, breathe out in 9. Do this three times. You will feel more relaxed. Try having snacks now and then, I do this sometimes during my tougher exams (just occasionally, so you don't gain weight). Do not sit on the study chair continually, you will get headaches. Walk around once in a while. And if you finished everything completely, do not cause excess stress by staying awake, which will worry you more, as you keep thinking that maybe there is something you missed, although it might not be true. Go to sleep early because by that you will wake up fresh and more energised for your exam. If you think you need to revise, you can wake up tomorrow earlier than you normally do, but not too early otheriwse you can fall asleep on the table (ha ha!).

All the best, and good luck for your exams!

  3. I would recommend having a quick break to calm yourself down. Focus, remind yourself of the reason you must do this exam, and then do some revision for about an hour, have a quick break to make sure you have absorbed the information, then revise again. Take regular breaks, test yourself making sure your revision technique is working. Work only until 6, spend 1 hour testing everything you have learnt. Spend one more hour going over things you need to go over. Then get yourself an early night.

When revising in a short space of time, I would recommend using little flip cards for each topic, write questions on one side and answers on the other of all the key points.

  4. Take a deep breath in, and exhale. Pray and dont overstudy!!! Gets lots of sleep night before

  5. If you have worked hard towards it you will always get what you deserve, you just need to be confident in your abilities.

If you crack under pressure then all the intelligence in the world goes to waste.

Just remember that no matter what as long as you work hard towards your goals you will get there in the end regardless of how this test goes.

  6. relax dude, if you're as smart as you say you are you'll be fine. do you think they make those tests impossible?.. most dummies can get through it.. if you understand your work you'll ace it.. now relax and go play some pc games to destress
