How can I remain in my peak state while studying ???????

I mean to say that how can I keep myself mentally stable and ready while studying.I've got this really annoying problem of not being able to keep my mind concentrated on my studies except during exam time.I want to really start studying seriously from now onwards for the entrance and board exams but my mind wanders and I fail to concentrate to study.Besides even if I'm in a mind to study I fail to remain in that state of mind long enough to do anything productive.Can you please give me some really practical and good tips ????

  1. This is a problem most people have.  When you're studying, you're doing something you'd rather not be doing.  As a result, your mind wanders.  Honestly, the best thing to do is to pick a time when you're at your best.  Don't study when you're tired.  Avoid distractions! (music...tv...phone).  Have a snack with you (nuts...fruits...).  Isolate yourself.  LOCK THE DOOR!  Talk to yourself as you study.  Try to determine whether you're a tactile, auditory, or visual learner.  Once you know this, adjust your learning methods.  For example, if you're a tactile learner (you have to learn by doing), write down the important things you've learned.  Make up a test for yourself as you read over the material.  Take a 15 minute break; then return and take the test.  You'll remember the material because you've seen and written it.  If you're an auditory learner, say the material aloud or record yourself.  Then play it back.

        Get sleep!  Eat right.  Exercise before and after you study. (Take a brisk walk to energize yourself).      I've been teaching H.S. students for many years, and I've heard all the "studying techniques" that don't work.   The key factors to a successful study session are:  lack of distraction, physical alertness, determining learning method (tactile, auditory, visual).

  2. It is because of your restlessness and lack of concentration. Before reading for the exam meditate for few minutes.stop watching t.v, during the exam. Tell this words to yourself " I can study without distraction ".say atleast 10 times to yourself, then the goal is yours.All the best.
