How can I remove Nitrate from tap water before adding to my tropical aquarium?

You have nitrate level of 50 parts per million in your tap?  That is five times the EPA maximum contaminant level!

I sincerely hope you are not drinking any of your tap water.  This could be a serious health hazard to you and your family.
