How can I remove a hot sauce stain from my white shorts?

I was just eating a breakfast burrito and I happened to spill some hot sauce stain on my white shorts, I know it wasn't very smart but please just give me some ideas! (before my mom gets home) =/

wash it and then let it sit out in the sun

Take a lemon, cut in half and squeeze the juice onto the stain. Afterwards wash in warm water and liquid dish soap.

Hope this works. Lemons bleach things - so it is a natural way to remove stains.
