I want to put my own cutsom label on and do not want to stick it over the factory label that comes on the wine bottle.

Any suggestions?

  1. YOU  COULD USE SOME OF PETROLEUM JELLY

  2. Get a razor blade and scrape it off.  You could use warm water, and that would get it off quickly, but it could also spoil the taste of the wine.

  3. get something to get it off.

  4. I clean empty bottles with an overnight soak in water. I also add bleach and TSP, but they are more for the inside of the bottle than the outside. You can also get several products designed to break down the glue. Ask at your local hardware store.

  5. Baking soda and warm water.

It is what I use for my homebrewing. Fill a bucket or your sink with hot water and about half cup of baking soda. Soak the wine bottle for about 5 minutes. More often than not by the time you get back the label will be floating on top of the water. If it isn't you can slide it off with your thumb.
