  1. In additon to the clip on the end of the axle there is a square key that couples the wheel and axle.  Make sure that you locate it and put it back in when you reassemble.  The wheel can be a bit stuck to the axle, so it may have to be persueded to come off.

  2. Depending on what type you have you either remove the lug nuts (like on a car)

or there is a round clip on the axle. Look at the center of the wheel and look for a ring that sits in a groove;(this could be hidden behind a center cap) this ring will have a break in it where you use a small flat screwdriver to gently twist, pry it off, out of the grove it sits in. Then just remove the washers.

Watch out sometimes that can pop off and hit you in the eye.

Last resort is that it could have a bolt holding it on which you may have to pop the center cover off to expose the bolt.

  3. most are held on with a clip,

Under a rubber cap, pull the cap off, look for a clip.
