  1. Drill the head off do that you can remove the thing that it is holding down and then grab the shaft of the s***w with a pair of mole grips and undo!

  2. if there is enough head left on the s***w then cut a slot with a hacksaw then tap the s***w with a hammer once or twice to break it free then use a flat screwdriver to remove it , or you can use a small center punch and tap the head lightly in the direction you want it to turn , failing that cut the head off take the parts apart then remove the s***w

  3. That happened to me a few weeks ago. I was supposed to s***w something else on the same spot so I was careful not to ruin the wood or the surrounding area.

I tried to expose the head first by using a s***w driver on the sides. Like a lever/crowbar, I placed a flat screwdriver under the head and slowly moved it around until a bit of the head is exposed.

I also tried to use a needlenose plyer but it didn't work. When a bit of the head was already exposed, I used a flat nose screwdriver to turn the s***w. Try to get a good grip then turn.

It was not easy but I was able to remove the s***w without any damage to the wood.

  4. Go to a homwe improvement store and have a look see at s***w extractors. Get the best one to get 'r' done

  5. If you have a hammer and punch, you can try to loosen enough to get pliers on the head.

  6. you can use a hacksaw to cut a slot in the s***w head. you can then use a regular standard blade srewdriver to remove.
