How can I remove adhesive from fabric without damaging it?

I bought a new swimsuit and when I washed it I forgot to take out that little hygenic liner that is in all bikini bottoms. The inside of the bikini bottom is super sticky. I tried peeling parts of it out with no such luck. I thought about trying Goo Gone but I wasn't sure how that would affect the fabric. Any ideas or suggestions?

White spirits will break down adhesives, this should work re-wash the garment after wards.

I've had very good sucess with carbona products. They are available at most grocery stores and Walmart etc.

Try some rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth...
