My two year old class has used Crayola markers on our green chalk board? It does not wash off. Any suggestions on how to remove this without damaging the chalk board?

  1. WD40 works really good for just about everything! Doesn't seem to damage anything.

  2. At the 99cent store there is this stuff called AWESOME. I have used the ORANGE version of it and even the regular and it takes off anything. I have had grease where I scrub like a madman and nothing. A little bit of awesome and PRESTO!! comes right off.

  3. Try a Mr.Clean Magic Eraser...it works on just about everything.

  4. Just use the cleaning solution you always use but, let it soak into the stain for 3 or 4 minutes. Then, wipe it off with a towel. This should work. You may have to do this more than once; repeat as needed. You might not have to go out and buy something, as some have suggested.

If my method does damage the board, there is this stuff called chalkboard paint. Apply it to the damaged area. Or just spray it over the markers from the very beginning.
