How can I remove the adhesive tape stuck on the back of my college degree which is glued on a glass backboard?

My parents thought it was an awesome idea to frame my college degree. Problem is that the guy who made the frame applied really sticky adhesive tape on the paper which covers the whole length of the upper part, and stuck it against a glass backboard which he then framed.

Now that I have to take this off in order to send it somewhere, how do I go about it? It seems impossible!

Razor blades won't work, applying any liquids there I believe would damage the degree. I tried boiling water having the steam go between the paper and the glass.... but that will take light years to accomplish.

tell the framer to remove it!!!

they should know how to if they stuck it on in the first place!!!
