How can I remove the drawing canvas in Microsoft Word?

How can I remove the drawing canvas even when I am drawing? I don't need the canvas. Thanks! God bless you and take care!

When ur cursor turned on as a drawing tool, select or delete the canvas. that's all ^___^ u can just delete it straight away

In Word 2007, click on Office Button | Word Options | Advanced | in the Editing Options group, uncheck the "Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting AutoShapes" box | OK.

In Word 2003 or earlier, click on Tools | Options | General tab | uncheck the "Automatically create drawing canvas" box | OK.
