How can I repair scraped chrome on a cell phone? Is it possible to re coat it?

I bought a new phone off someone and it arrived with heaps of the chrome scratched off so it looks crusty even though it's only 6 months old!! Help.....

You can buy a new cover to fit on the phone easier..anything you put on the phone will not stick, and if you get any of what your using on the key pad..You could ruin the whole thing...Here is an example for some..simply type in "faceplates for a bla bla cell phone"..You can choose what you want then
