How can I repair the damage to my swim suit caused by machine washing it?

I just accidentally machine washed my new swimsuit for 40 minutes - I did not read the instructions that said "Hand wash only. Rinse in clean tap water." Is there anything I can do now to help return the swimsuit to its original condition? Please help!

I'm sorry but there really is nothing that can be done. : (

You could try to soak it in water and have it air dry inside and MAYBE it'll go back a bit, but I doubt it.

Here's some tips for your next bathing suit:

- Whenever you've gone for a swim and come back home take your bathing suit and rinse it in tap water. Then let it air dry inside.

- Never let your swim suit dry in the sun.

- Always rinse after going swimming in a chlorinated pool.
