How can I replace my door handle?

It's a 1990 Ford Thunderbird my outside drivers door handle is broken. I couldn't figure out how to pull out the handle. When I take the door panel off, it doesn't look like my hand can reach there. Any suggestions?

I would suggest getting a haynes manual or going to a shop. It simply unbolts.

there should be two bolts that connect it and the latch that controls opening the door too. It is a pain in the you know what to do . you need needle nose pliers a small socket set and open end wrenches. the window has to be up at the start. it helps do have the power window switch connected, that means taking it off the door panel. disconnect the lock assembly first. Your hand will go far enough to get the wrench in there. the manual won't tell you this, and it will take some time. Or take it to a body shop. more questions e-mail me.
