How can I r****d the timing on my 95 chevy tahoe??

I know that I need to turn the distributor clockwise but I don't see any bolts to loosen the distributor. can any one help??

  1. Chevy V-8's use a locking "fork" right where the distributer goes into the block. Usually a 9/16 or 14mm bolt head. Get out the flash light and start digging. You only need to back it off about a half turn, just enough to let the distributer turn.


  2. I'm really not %100 but the bolts might be inside the cap itself. Try removing the top part and look to see.
