How can I retrieve a lost CD code for a computer game?

I am trying to re-install Ship Simulator 2006 for my son, and we lost the verification code that is printed on the original package. Is there a way to retrieve or find this code in the files of the game, or am I stuck with a white elephant? Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not sure you can. Just try to contact the dealer of your CD.
