So here's the deal. I used to like all this awful music back in the day, and I can't remove the songs. So, I want to get a new iPod, but I can't afford that. So, how can I stage my iPod's death, make it look like it was an accident, and then give it to Best Buy, where I bought it, and then they can replace it with a brand new one. How can this work? I need something extremely beleivable and a story to go along with it. Thank you for any help.

  1. Since that type of fraud is both a Civil and a Federal  crime, you might better spend your time researching how to remove the old songs so you can load new ones. Warranty fraud is big business and those that get caught pay dearly.

  2. You can easily wreck the battery over about a week period of time by using it.. for about a 1/4 battery's life, then charging it, using it 1/4 battery life.. then charging it full.. again and again.

The battery will lose its strength, and its battery life will lower from the standard 14 hours (I believe?) down to about 1/2 an hour.

As well, plug it into your computer.. when you add a song ..

then unplug it when it says DO NOT DISCONNECT. Add another song to your iTunes library.. and unplug it while the DO NOT DISCONNNECT message is flashing again. Repeat, repeat..

As for a story, you could say you were listening to your iPod.. and the battery was at full charge, and all of a sudden your screen went blank. Your iPod would not turn on.. until you plugged it into your computer. It was working for a while, then it happened again. Your getting really worried about it, and find it a complete nusance and a waste of time.. when your out and about and it just dies and won't turn on until you plug it in again.

    Haah, good luck ! :)

  3. Heat is very bad for electronics and if you live somewhere hot you can leave it in your car and that can mess with the sensitive thing on the inside of it.  Batteries are also very adverse in the heat and it can shorten the battery's life span to where it won't hold a charge.  Other than this i don't really have much of a suggestion.   i won't tell you good luck with this one since it is taking advantage of things.

also have you tried to reformat you ipod it will erase all thing on the ipod and maybe make it usable again so you don't have to go through the hassle of exchanging it.

Just plug it in and go to My Computer and then right click on the ipod and click format.....That is what i really suggest you do and this one i will tell you good luck on
