How can I safe my bookmarks ?

I ask this question yesterday, but had not reply, so I like to ask it again.

I have a lot of bookmarks in Firefox2 and I do not know how to save them.

ATTENTION: Firefox 2 method is different from Firefox 3's!

On Firefox 2, you first have to go to "Bookmarks" and then "Organize Bookmarks". Then you have to click on "File" and then choose "Export".

It will save your bookmarks to an HTML file that you can then import on another computer if you like, save as a backup or even use an online service like Yahoo! Bookmarks -- http://bookmarks.yahoo.com

You can do it in the following way:

>> Click on Bookmarks in the menubar.

>> Click on Organize Bookmarks.

>> Click on Import And Backup button above in the new window that opens.

>> Click on Backup and you will be able to save it as a file.

>> Next time, when you want these bookmarks back, just follow the same procedure, but instead of clicking on Backup, select Restore and select your file so that you get all your bookmarks back.

I use FireFox 3 so I instructed you the FF3 way. Though, I don't think that the procedure for FF2 will be very different.

EDIT - I found the way to do it for Firefox 2 but it doesn't differ much, according to me.

In order to backup your bookmarks in Firefox 2, click on the bookmarks menu and select organize bookmarks.

Once you have clicked on the Organize Bookmarks item the bookmark manager window will popup. In the new window from the file menu select Export and choose the location where you want to backup your bookmarks.

After you have backed up your bookmarks you can easily import them back using the import function when you create a new Firefox profile or reinstall it from scratch.

EDIT 2 - Actually the next answerer is right that the method is different and I'm sorry I didn't think of it first. When I edited my answer I saw his answer and agree with him that the method is a bit different. I apologize for my mistake and hope to take better care in future.
