How can I safely make my brown eyes look instantly brighter?

I don't think there is any home remedies. Only colored colored contacts.

I have Freshlook colored contacts and they work really well. I have dark brown eyes with blue contacts.

get white eyeliner for your under eyelid

add artificial tears to your eyes to make them sparkle. Sorry but the only safe way to make your eyes "brighter" is contacts, and even colored contacts don't work great on dark colored eyes.

But...

If you put on some fresh clean eye liner and mascara, that will nicely complement you eye color that you already have!

Short of contact lenses, you cannot change the color of your eyes - nor should you try because you could seriously end up damaging yourself.  What you could do is try using eye makeup (eye shadow, eyeliner) to accentuate the fabulous brown of your eyes (assuming you are a girl of course or a guy who likes wearing makeup).  Personally I think brown eyes are beautiful, but as a "brown eyed girl" myself, I might be a wee bit prejudiced :)
