You need a Relift pump if you have a lot of water. You can rent them at a equipment rental place, Farmers usually have one maybe you could borrow.

go with a sump pump you can set it and forget it you don't need your friends to come over to help... get a 5 gallon pail cut a few large holes in the bottom stick the pump inside it...helps filter the water so u dont get it clogged like i said set it and forget it

* Shop Vac..  Suck it up then dump it outside. It might take a while but this is safe and very easy.

Get an assembly line going. You suck , next opens , next totes up stairs, next takes outside and dumps. REVERSE~
