Question:

How can I sanitize my dog run without killing the grass?

I have 3 dogs and a large grassy dog run. There has never been a problem until I had house guests stay with us last winter and they had their 3 dogs using the dog run as well. Now that the snow and the guests are gone, my dogs appear to smell something in the dog run and they will not use it. Is there something I can apply to the ground to remove any odor they may detect? I don't smell anything, but they sure do? I would use bleach, but I don't want to kill the grass. The soil is a sandy soil. I have had a lime application applied, but that did not help. Please help.

  1. go to a pet store like PetsMart and ask there for the yard deodorizer...it's like Nature's Miracle, but is for outside use.... I can't imagine why they wouldn't 'go' if they went there WITH the other dogs all winter...???.....

  2. do not use bleach...try lysol or even  crushed charcoal mixed with fresh soil/sand.
