How can I save a DVD of my vacation onto my computer?

I have recently transferred clips of my vacation from my cam corder onto a DVD disk, now I want to transfer the video from the disk onto my computer but im not sure how to do it. Also the data from my cam corder is deleted

Put the CD in and go into my computer and retrieve them out of the CD icon you just put in. or copy the clips.

you need to copy the dvd back onto your computer. you can get free progs that convert dvd format to AVI or Mpeg once you have done that then you can do whatever you want with it.

If you use Nero then you can use Nero Recode and then use Nero vision simple
