We bought a Pansonic VDR-D210 which is the very basic model. You can record videos with it and also take still pictures. There are no computer hook ups. I have finalized the disk and when I put it in the computer I can view it all on Windows Media, but I want to save the pictures to my computer so I can upload them to the internet and get prints. I just can't figure out how to save the files. When I open My Computer I can only see less than half of the files. Obviously I have no idea what I am doing so any help would be appriciated. They are all VOB, BUP, and IFO files when I look on My Computer. THANKS!!!

  1. Why you have a problem - The pictures are actually on the disc in video format because that's how they were shot.  Next time find the way to change the way the pictures are being taken beforehand and it will help.  I have been where you are before.  I know it's confusing.

Here are 3 things that MAY help.  Good luck!

    1.  (Best) You should have have a slot for a SD memory card in your camcorder. (memory card avail. everywhere from office max, walmart to best buy) Keep the disc in the camcorder, insert the memory card and somewhere on the camcorder you should have buttons to save images from disc to memory card.

    2.  Try to use any other media player that is on your computer. (Roxio) is great if you have it, but it would have come on the computer you can not install it.

    3.  (Know it can be done with the disc alone this way, but haven't done it myself so I can't give you to many details sorry)  Go to start on your computer.  Under programs you should have Windows Explorer, you may have to do a search for it because it's not shown most of the time.  Somehow with Windows Explorer open you are supposed to be able to take anything in any format from a disc like yours and reformat it to the correct way to read on the computer.

    Again, good luck!
