  1. There are all kinds of software that you can use to transfer what is on your iPod/iTouch back into your computer.  I've never used any myself, but I do know that the software exists.  Perhaps you will get an answer from someone who can suggest one to you.  Otherwise, I would suggest that you go to a place such as Radio Shack, or a computer store like CompUSA, and ask one of the salesmen about the different software products that does this.  I would imagine, depending on how much is on your iPod, that it would be worth the cost of the software.

Also, your other answerer is right - until you get this software, do NOT connect your iPod to your computer or any other computer because it will sync to the computer that it is connected to and you will lose EVERYTHING on your iTouch.

    Good luck to you.

EDIT:   Back again!   I actually just found the following site which compares the top 5 software products for transferring from an iPod to a computer.  This should help you:

  2. so in other words you lost your itunes? DO NOT SYNC THE IPOD WITH ANY OTHER COMPUTERS!!! you will lose what you have and gain what they have. when your computer comes back to life, change the settings to make it so that your ipod doesnt automatically sync with your computer. if you have no songs and it syncs, you will lose what you have on the ipod. you may be..... maybe.... be able to open up your ipod on the itunes screen and drag whats in it to your library again.

be careful and make sure it doesnt sync, because all hope will be lost
