How can I schedule recording using my Mac?

I have an iMac connected to a Miglia TVMAX. I have all the channels coming in through AT&T U-Verse to my Mac and everything looks great.

If I want to record something, say a tv show or movie, I go to the channel and hit 'record'. Problem is, I have to be around to stop the recording. How can I set this up to be able to schedule recordings. This is where the whole show gets recorded automatically and I don't need to stick around to hit 'stop'.
