How can I search news in Archives of my town?

I am trying to find news if any crimes happen in one house in our town, but can not figure out where to go on the net to find it. I do not know what year it happen so this is a hunt

Go to your nearest library --- they must have archives. It might take you a while to get through them.

You may be able to find out if you go to the police dept. They probably have records from so far back computerized, just depends on how long ago you're looking for. Other than that, the library is probably a good bet, I know in our city the library has the newspapers archived back to at least the early 60's, maybe more.
