How can I search the internet with a picture?

I have a picture I know came of the internet. Can I put this picture into a search engine somewhere?

What I can do is ask you to do these things:

1. Check if the picture has a "watermark", most pictures from the net bear their sources. The watermark is mostly found at the bottom right side which is usually almost transparent such as "flicker.com"

2. Sometimes the source is included in the name of the picture itself, better check that.

3. Lastly and most probably you will do is find the best description that fits the picture such as "girl holding brown cat" or something like that and type it on the search engine for images.

That would be nice but I have never seen one. That would go along with the hum a tune website to find a song. They are both things that are very difficult to find a way to match. People crop pictures making exact matches impossible.

You can go to http://images.yahoo.com or http://images.google.com and try to search by subject.
